My name is Kaan Marko Kizil. I am a wildlife photographer, but first and foremost, I am an observer.
Wildlife photography has never been a race for the perfect shot for me.
It is an exercise in presence, patience, and deep respect for what moves, breathes, and lives independently of us.
I work in close contact with nature, often in remote environments, where time slows down and attention becomes the only truly indispensable tool. In these places, I have learned that you don’t photograph what you are looking for, but what you are willing to wait for.
My approach is born from field experience: knowing a territory, understanding its rhythms, recognizing its signals. Photography comes later, as a natural consequence of an authentic immersion. For this reason, in my trips and workshops, technique is never separate from ethics: observing without invading, telling without forcing, being there without leaving a trace.
I accompany very different people: expert photographers, enthusiasts, but also travelers who want to experience nature in a more conscious way. It is not necessary to have a camera in hand to truly participate. Rather, it is necessary to have the desire to look.
I believe that an image has value only when it is born from a real relationship with the place and the subject. And I believe that every journey, if lived with attention, can change the way we look at the everyday world when we return.
